Ask a Question

Naturalizer asked: Why did you choose this?

  • M: "Very comfortable , and I like the style."

Andrea asked: How high is the shaft?

  • Denise: "About an inch below the knee"
  • Carlos: "They are almost to the knee, but I am short (5') and petit but they fit perfect"
  • Sherry: "Fairly high. Just below knee on me, but I am also under 5'4". My daughter and I both have a pair and really like them. I actually ordered another pair in another color. "
  • S: "On my size 9 the shaft height from top of heel up the back is 15 1/4"; the front of shaft is about 3/4" higher."
  • Shirley: " I am VERY annoyed about getting this email since I never got the boots and also I never got a notice from Naturalizer that I would not get them I believe your company scammed me for my money since I never got a refund I have contacted an attorney about this and I advised friends to stop ordering from your company I will never order from Naturalizer I am very dissatisfied !!!"
  • Cicely: "They stop before the knee cap."
  • Juana: "I like my boots"
  • Catherine: "Almost up to knee"

Margie asked: I have a narrow foot and normally wear an 8N. Should I order an 8M or 7 1/2 M?

  • Jane: "Help"
  • Jane: "Margie, I have answered this question 3 times. I don't understand why it won't post to the site. Sorry ;-(("
  • Jane: "Margie, I purchased a 6 Wide Shaft. I usually wear a 51/2-6N. These boots run true to size. I purchased the wide shaft so I can tuck my pants in my boots. The wide shaft is only wider at the top of the boot not where your foot is. I love these boots. They are comfortable and stylish. Good luck! "
  • Krishna: " my opinion this boot runs on the narrower side especially along your calf/leg "
  • Josephine: "I normally wear 51/2 shoes and I also have narrow foot, but with boots I wear 6M to be able to have room for my socks."
  • Jane: "Margie, I answered your question incorrectly. I purchased a 6M Wide Shaft not a 6W as I previously stated. Sorry for the inconvenience. "
  • Sherrille: "8M would be best. The boot in my opinion tends to run a slightly smaller."
  • Virginia: "Yes I would"
  • Jane: "Margie, I normally wear a narrow shoe however in these boots I ordered an 6M & 6W. I wanted to wear these boots with my pants outside & also tucked in my boots. I found these boots are true to size. Because I wear socks with my boots, I ended up keeping the 6W. These boots are great looking & comfortable! I hope you enjoy wearing them! "
  • Margaret: "I wear size 8 N also. Ordered that size in this boot. Fit is perfect. In fact I bought these boots in two colors. I have put a full sole insert in one pair because I like extra arch support sometimes, but it is not necessary. I LOVE these boots. Very comfy."
  • Lynaire: "I have a wide foot but still fit a standard size. I am usually a size 8 and I don't have large calves. I bought the 8W in these boots and they are super comfortable. Not too big and not tight. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with American boot sizing but there is one reference for you."
  • Loretta: "I wear an 7 1/2 extra wide shoe. I ordered the 8 WW and it was still to narrow. I reordered in 8 1/2 WW and was much better in the width. So to answer your question these boots seem to run narrow. You might want to order both sizes and keep the best fit. The length seems to run true to size. The 8 1/2 I have is a bit to long but I have been looking for boots for 3 years. It is hard to find my size. Hope that is helpful."
  • jodie: "It depends what you plan to wear under it...Since they are boots I tend to wear at least one pair of socks to keep warm so then I'd order the 8M"
  • Danielle: "I wear a 10M and this boot fits me perfectly. It almost feels as if I do not have on shoes so it is not snug at all."

Carol asked: What is the difference in the diameters of the wide calf and the average calf circumference?

  • Carol: "I didn't notice a big difference but there is an elastic stretch panel. I have found these boots extremely comfortable even when I'm wearing thick winter socks, in fact they are my most comfortable boots."
  • Linda C.: "I wanted to know also, and I found the info on another website that sells Naturalizer, under specifications. I think for a size 7 the difference was 3 inches. I love my boots."
  • MARIAN: "For a complete list of shaft height and circumference measurements for each size, please click the "Boot Measurement" icon located above the "Add to Cart" button."
  • ricardo: "Hi Carol, my wife loved the wide calf...perfect for wide feet...hope this helps!"

Alexis asked: What does WW mean?

  • G: "WW means wide width. The shoe part, not the upper shaft, is wider than the average shoe size."
  • Kimberly: "WW refers to the width of the shoe. I happen to need a shoe that is two times wider than a regular shoe width."
  • Jeanine: "Extra wide"
  • Veronica: "Wide width"
  • Sarah: "I believe it means extra wide width. One W is wide width. I hope this helps."
  • Mallory: "Wide width"
  • Mallory: "Wide width"
  • Rebecca: "Wide...I love my Boots"
  • RICHARD: "WW means Double Wide. A little wider than the size Wide. More room for your feet around your toes. Hope this answer your question."
  • Murjani: "Wide Width"
  • Jorge: "Wide Width according to some other sites. Google for "WW boot size""

michele asked: I don't need the width in the shaft, only in the foot. This style ok for that?

  • Denise: "Hello Michele, I bought these in 8.5W and the width in the foot was perfect (worn with tights plus medium thickness knee-high socks) as was the overall height on the shoe, since I have a high instep. There wasn't a great deal of room, however, so if your feet tend to swell as the day wears on they may feel tight or uncomfortable as the day progresses. Of course, the thickness of any socks worn affects the fit as well."
  • Dora: "Yes, I have a wider foot and it fits me fine."
  • Donna: "I don't need the wide shaft, either, and while these are not tight around my calves they are not overly wide. Ialso need the width in my foot and these are comfortable. I have gotten many compliments when I wear them!"
  • Laura: "The food does run a little narrow, I normally wear narrow and it fits perfect."
  • Renee: "I have a slim leg and calf and these are a bit snug with skinny jeans tucked inside. I wear thinner slack hose (knee highs) because any type of sock would be too thick for the medium width. Hope this helps"
  • Kirsten: "I love this is comfortable and needs no "breaking in." I need both wide shaft and wide is great for both. If you don't need wide might be too big in the shaft for you...I don't know?"

Krystal asked: I'm a size 101/2 wide, but your company doesn't have that available so I have to get the 11ww. I usually just get the 11w, but if I get the 11ww, I'm afraid the shoe will just be too big. Does it run true to size? What is the shaft measurement for size 11ww? Or should I just get the 11?

  • J: "I have a double wide foot (thank you bunion) and thought the WW I got was not as roomy as expected - so I want up one half size and it was fine. It does not slosh around - the heel didn't seem wider and I always appreciate more room in the toe box. I don't think you will find a big difference between W and WW"
  • Tracye: "I normally wear a 12. I am true 11.5, but can never find that size. I ordered the 12 and it was laughably too large. I downsized to an 11w because I wanted the shorter length but needed extra width in the toe box. The boot was still a half-size too long but the width was perfect. I would get the 10WW if I were you."
  • Sandra: "I found the boot to be true to size. I usually wear a 71/2 shoe but get an 8 M in a boot or closed toe shoe. In a boot I want to have room to wear socks if needed. I also have a small calf so ordered the regular calf width. Not sure if this helps you or not but they do have an easy return policy."
  • Maritza: "I range from 8 to 8.5, many shoes being too tight at 8. I bought these 8.5 M and they fit just right, very comfortable. I did have to buy the wide shaft because the regular would not close at my calves. Even the wide shaft in this boot tends to be just right, since it is a slim boot. If I was you I would get the 11 w, and then you can exchange it if not quite right."
  • SHARON: "Boot is beautiful but runs a little small, It's worth getting the bigger size"

Natalie asked: Hi, I would like to know the shaft width? in a size 7, thanks. Natalie

  • Hillary (staff): "Hi Natalie, For a complete list of shaft height and circumference measurements for each size, please click the "Boot Measurement" icon located above the "Add to Cart" button. Thank you,"

Emma asked: I just received my pair in 7W, and it feels tight in the calf. Do these stretch at all? Or should I try the 7WW? I'm concerned that the 7WW will be too large everywhere else.

  • Huong: "I wear a size 5, and it fit me perfectly. So I am not sure if this kind of leather will stretch at all. "
  • Parvini: "Stay thing here I'm going to returned them"
  • Jane: "Emma H. I bought a 6 regular and a 6 wide calf. I am keeping the wide calf. I could not even zip up the 6 regular to the top! I am only 5'5 and normal weight. Other than the wide calf, the boots fit exactly the same! This is the first pair of wide calf boots I have ever bought. I love these boots. They are comfortable and the leather is fantastic! I think I will go ahead and buy the black pair too! Good luck!!!"
  • L: "Depending on the size of your calves, you may or may not be better off with the WW. I have wide calves (17") so I ordered the WW in black leather, but I still had to stretch them a bit. Now they are super comfortable!! Hope this helps."
  • Sarah: "Hi Emma, I don't really feel like mine stretched. But mine we're not tight in the calf to begin with."
  • DENISE: "Hi, mine is snug and hasn't stretch yet. Did you try the wide shaft?"
  • Valeree: "The boots i purcahsed were not wide calf despite choosing that style. I could nof zip the boots up past the middle of my calf. Returned for a full refund."
  • Colleen: "I ordered them in a wide in the foot and regular in the calf, initially they were a little tight in the calf but now they are very comfortable. The calf part stretches out a little, and the elastic at the top of the calf also helps. Hope this helps!"
  • Penny: "Emma, I just purchased a pair and have worn them 1. Time. Mine too were right in the calfs however there isuch elastic and I believe it will loosen gradually. Yes, I. Believe the next size would be too loose everywhere else. Of course, you need to be comfortable I. Amy sir or boot you choose :) I hope this helps! "
  • jasmine: "I am probably not able to help much sorry, they are still a bit large around my calf. But I can tell you, in 2 months of irregular wearing, the foot section (that is nice and snug on me) has not stretched out. I would worry about the elastic in the calf stretching and looking worn, so getting the wide calf might be a good thing to try. See which you like better and return the other."

Deanna asked: How wide is the shaft of this versus the wide shaft?

  • Rachel: "I can't answer how wide versus the wide shaft but I can tell you that I didn't order the wide shaft and the boot seems to accomodate my calf with no problem. I was concerned that perhaps I should have ordered the wide shaft but it doesn't appear to be an issue. I just took them out of the box and tried on over pants I'm wearing - seem fine. Hope this helps."
  • Hillary (staff): "Hello, For a complete list of shaft height and circumference measurements for each size, please click the "Boot Measurement" icon located above the "Add to Cart" button. Thank you,"
  • Gretchen: "I'm not sure of the measurements but my calf is 15" around and they fit cozy with jeans on. Not too snug but definitely not a lot of extra room. "
  • Lupe: "I do not know how much wider the wide shift would be however this fits me perfectly. I have shapely calves however they are thin. I'm 5'1" and weight 104 lbs. Hope that helps."
  • Lupe: "I do not know how much wider the wide shift would be however this fits me perfectly. I have shapely calves however they are thin. I'm 5'1" and weight 104 lbs. Hope that helps."

Carol asked: I ordered this boot in an 8 1/2 wide, but the shaft is about 2 inches too narrow. My calf is about 17 inches. I got it for a great price on Cyber Monday. So, question 1. If I get this boot in WW wiL it fit my calf? 2. Will I be able to exchange it for the same price? I love the boot.

  • Hillary (staff): "Hi Carol, Please call 1-888-294-1648, have your order number ready and one of Customer Service specialists will be able to assist you with your concern. Thank you,"

elaine asked: IS the buckle silver or gold?

  • Ann: "It looks more bronze than gold - but it definitely isn't silver."
  • Melva: "The buckle is gold"
  • marilyn: "I love these boots I have a wide foot and I wanted the wider shaft and they were all sold out. I took a chance and ordered the regular shaft with the wide boot and they fit. Cant wear with jeans tucked in but I love these boots and next year I will buy another pair and get ones with a wide shaft to wear with jeans"
  • D: "Silver"
  • Lisa: "Hi, the buckle on this boot is a brushed gold, not a shiny gold. I purchased the same/exact boot. "
  • Lisa: "Hi, the buckle on this boot is a brushed gold, not a shiny gold. I purchased the same/exact boot. "
  • Jennifer: "Gold"

Lucy asked: What is the difference between the Jersey and Juliette boot? They look almost the same.

  • Hillary (staff): "Hi Lucy, Unfortunately we are unable to answer your question. We do apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you, Hillary"

Linda asked: Can I return this to a store?

Linda asked: Do I have to unbuckle both buckles before I can undo the zipper?

  • Ashley: "No. It has a zipper on the inside. The buckles are just for looks!"
  • Terri: "No, you do not have to unbuckle any of the buckles."
  • Linda: "No."
  • JUNG: "Nope. :)"

pat asked: I usually choose Nauralizer because I have narrow feet and can usually get narrow sizes. However, the Naturalizer Jersey boot does not show a narrow size. Very disappointing! Did anyone with narrow feet order a regular size and were they too loose? Sometimes I've order a regular size a half size smaller (I wear an 81/2 but have ordered an 8) if they are a roomy toe and not too high of a heel. Do you think that would work?

  • Susan: "The shoe part fit but I was very disappointed in the extra wide calf . It did not fit"
  • AnneMarie: "I have a wide fit and ordered the wide and they are extremely tight need to order extra wide."
  • CINDY: "I wear narrow but ordered my normal 8-1/2. Unfortunately I am returning the boots. They were very small and very tight. Unsure whether they were mis-sized or just run small. I have never had a problem before when ordering naturalizer shoes. This is a first for me. Hope this helps. "
  • Ivy: "I have narrow feet (especially a narrow heel). The boots are a little loose in the heel, but I am used to putting inserts in to fix that problem. Otherwise, the boots fit fine."

Briann asked: What is the difference between W and WW in the sizing?

  • Su: "Naturalizer should answer this question, since it is pertaining to their product."
  • Melva: "W=Wide WW= Double wide (larger in width)"
  • J: "WW should be a double wide but the boots I bought in WW seem more like just a wide - W."
  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Briann, It is actually the width of the foot. A W is a wide width shoe and a WW is an wide wide width shoe. If you need to measure the to see if you are a W or a WW shoe I have posted a link to our fit assistant below. Here you can print out our shoe sizing diagram and measure your foot. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Please click the link below for sizing assistance: Thank you,"

Wendy asked: On the black pair, are the buckles gold or silver?

  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Wendy, The buckles are gold. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Brittany"

Mary asked: Does the jersey boot fit the same as the juletta boot? They look similar.

  • Melva: "Yes, I have the Juletta Boot and they fit the same."
  • LEE: "did not purchase jersey boot"
  • Linda: "Can't truthfully answer this question because I've never worn the Julett Boot. But I can tell you I find this shoe to be super comfortable and good-looking too."

Betty asked: what is the shaft width?

  • Tracy Ann: "I don't know the width but I can tell you I have big calves and the shaft of this boot, in a "w" side, is plenty roomy."
  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Betty, I believe you are asking for the circumference of the boot. If you go to the boot's product page and select boot measurements you will be able to select the boot's name, your size and the measurements will be provided. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks, Brittany"

Julie asked: If I am 5 ft 2 inches with shorter legs, will these boots be to tall?

  • Antje: "I think they might be. I'm almost 6ft and they are almost to my knees."
  • Ivy: "I am 4'11" with shorter legs and the boots hit me right under my knee (size 5)."
  • Brenda: "No! I am 5"3 and love them "
  • J: "I think they will be too tall for you. The upper 2 inches at the back of the boot is an elastic insert so it is more flexable than leather, but they do come right to my knee and there is that little tab located in the middle of the back. At 5'4" they are fine for me, but I wouldn't want them any taller. Since I have a double wide foot (not a wide calf) I don't have much choice in boots - if I did, I would buy a nice soft pair with more flex."
  • Meredith: "Possibly - I would not recommend if legs are short between ankle & knee. Measure your legs -"
  • Isabelle: "No. I'm 4'10" and they fall about 2 inches below my knees."
  • Julie: "Thank you and I plan to look for a pair this weekend! Have a great day!"
  • Constance: "I'm 5'2 also I got the wide calf size 8. It comes up maybe 1 inch before the knee. I like the length, it's not to tall."

Nancy asked: I am a new Naturalizer customer who bought 3 pairs of sandles this summer for more cushion do to knee injury/pain. I bought size 8 1/2 medium width and they fit great with a little normal stretching out of the leather. This will be my first pair of boots to purchase because I have found them difficult to find a pair to fit properly. I do have slightly thick ankles that swell during the day. I plan to wear these with skirts and dresses at work. May wear tights and leggings but never jeans tucked in. How is the toe box on these boots and did they stretch through the foot, ankle, or calves? My calves at the widest is 14 1/2 inches. Would you recommend getting wide for more toe room and or wide calf boots considering my calves are 14 1/2 inches at the widest? Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

  • C: "I believe the calf width will more than suit your needs. I personally have very wide athletic calves (17") and the Jersey(19") wide-width boot easily can accommodate tucked in jeans . I cant really speak for the toe box in your case. I wear a size 11 shoe and have long toes, so I had to order up a size 12 boot. The 12 is perfect for me as I can wear thick socks with my boots. Good Luck."
  • Tara: "Hi! I purchased these boots to wear with leggings and skinny jeans but the regular width was too tight on my calf and it was tight on my ankle. I wear a size 6 and thats what I ordered. I went to exhange for wide calf and that was too big for me that way. Unfortunately I had to return them. As for the toes I had plenty of room to move around with both regular and wide calf. The boots were good quality just not right sizing for me.Good luck!"
  • Patricia: "My situation is the opposite. I have thin legs and tried on several brands of boots. The Naturalizer boots were the best fit for me. I bought the black jersey last year and the brown jersey this year. They were comfortable from day one. I don't feel the leather stretched, but then I didn't need the extra room. The regular boots have a narrower shaft than most other boots. They also have some elastic near the top. Since they are narrow to begin with, I think you should try the wide shaft and the wide foot. Anyway even when wearing tights it's nice to have room to also have a soft pair of socks on. I hope this helps, these boots are perfect for me."
  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Nancy, Unfortunately we have not had any customers respond to your question about the fit of this shoe. You can check the circumference of the boot for your size under the boot measurements tab on the product page. Sorry for the inconvenience, Brittany"

Lena asked: What is the lining of these boots made of? Does it have any foam fill?

  • M: "I had to return the black ones but I have the brown ones. There is a lining that has some foam fill. The lining is a nylon/poly blend. Hope that helps."
  • Lisa: "It's not really foam. More of neoprene type of liner. "
  • Theresa: "."
  • Theresa: "I didn't get these shoes in the mail! Naturalizer sends them through Fed Ex smart post! And they attempted to deliver on saturday to my work and its closed, so they just simply returned them back to naturalizer! I am having to reorder again and see if I can actually get them. A big mess!"
  • Jessica: "The inner portion of the boot does seem to have a thin, foam material like lining."
  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Lena, The JERSEY lining is an article called Softknit; which is 100% poly. I do believe that there is a foam filler in between the lining and upper; but do not know the contents. I hope this helps answer your question. Thanks, Brittany"

Kari asked: What is the shaft circumference of this boot?

  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Kari, It depends on your size. If you go to boot measurements on the boot's product page. You will be able to see all of the boot measurements for your size. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Brittany"

collette asked: i have very wide ankles, what is the circumference of the ankle area on the 8ww?

  • Jennifer: "Hi Collette, First let me tell you that I LOVE these boots. I have wide ankles and wide calves so I bought the wide shaft boots. Having said that, my boots are 11" at the smallest part of the ankle. I hope this helps. Best Regards, Jennifer"
  • C: "I have wide shaft not ankles and ordered the wide shaft and I was fine."
  • Sharon: "I love mine but they are very tight - not necessarily at the ankle but at the calf. I did not buy the wide version so they might be wide enough to fit comfortably."
  • Brittany (staff): "Unfortunately we do not have that information at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, Brittany"

cheryl asked: I have narrow legs. Does this boot adjust at the top. If so, how narrow can you make it?

  • Brittany (staff): "Hello Cheryl, Unfortunately this boot does not adjust at the top. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks, Brittany"

L asked: What is the shaft measurement difference between an 8.5 W and 8.5 WW?

  • Brittany (staff): "Hello, The shaft height remains the same. Thanks, Brittany"
