I feel that I have to come to the defense of these lovely sandals, given the low ratings they've received. I purchased these after trying them on in a store. The platform makes the higher heel so easy to walk in. I really like them and think they are very versatile. I didn't have a problem with the width or length of the strap (and my ankles are not thin). I would buy these in other colors in a heartbeat.
